Fans on Twitter react to Crystal Palace bid for QPR’s McCarthy

QPR fans on Twitter have been pleading with the club not to sell goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

Rangers have rejected £3m offer from Crystal Palace for McCarthy, just short of the £3.5m release clause in the former Reading man’s contract.

And supporters not only want the keeper to stay at Loftus Road, many want him installed as first choice ahead of Robert Green.

Palace fans have been having their say, too. Current back-up keeper Wayne Hennessey is being tipped to join West Brom, which would mean McCarthy potentially competing with Julian Speroni for the number one jersey at Selhurst Park.
