QPR fans on Twitter react to news of Kpekawa’s proposed move

Many QPR fans on Twitter have vented their disappointment at the news that a fee has been agreed for Cole Kpekawa to join Barnsley.

The defender has been given the green light to travel north to discuss personal terms.

The 20-year-old has made only nine first-team appearances for QPR, but many supporters seem convinced he could have had a future at Loftus Road, ahead of the likes of Jack Robinson.

  • Big squad, or small squad, QPR need a better class of defender. I'm sorry to say it but Kpekawa is not good enough for a club that expects to see itself in the Premier League, either this season, or next!
IMO, the same applies to Furlong as well.

  • J.F.H. stated after one of our defeats "we are a small squad and we're tired".well if it's a small squad what the hell are you doing selling one of our best prospects...we should be adding to the squad not making it smaller...absolutely disgraceful decision to sell him.

  • I for one do not want Kpekawa to leave. As mentioned Robinson is injury prone. Do we really need the maegre money. I prefer to keep him and i am sure he will be ready to challenge for place in the next 6 months

  • I am not happy about losing a talented young player. We are finally producing quality young players and we are selling them

  • JFH said "get behind our youngsters". So why is he selling one with great potential?
