Liverpool fans on Twitter could not resist a few jokes after Steven Caulker’s debut as a makeshift striker against Arsenal.
Caulker joined the Reds on Tuesday on loan from QPR, his previous deal with Southampton being ended early.
But as surprising as that move was, it was nothing compared to the reaction when the centre-back was brought on to play up front as Liverpool successfully chased an equaliser against the Gunners.
QPR supporters also joined in the fun…

Caulker drew Mertesaker away whilst Benteke nods down for Joe Pirlo to equalise. Easy.
What people are forgetting -but Klopp has clearly done his homework - is that Caulker has already scored for Liverpool
