Fans on Twitter react to Terry injury

The news that captain John Terry is a doubt for Chelsea’s game at Tottenham on Sunday has worried many Blues fans on Twitter.

Terry left the pitch on a stretcher during the 4-0 Champions League win at Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday, with boss Jose Mourinho confirming the defender suffered an ankle injury.

A number of Chelsea supporters immediately feared the worst for the trip to White Hart Lane should Terry be ruled out.

But some Spurs fans, who watched Terry and the rest of the Chelsea defence dismantled in the 5-3 defeat on New Year’s Day, were divided over whether his potential absence would benefit their side.

  • Terry is a big miss since he has been ever present in the defence despite the rotations but missing this game is also a blessing in disguise, now pace is no longer a problem but just hopes Baba Rahman is replaced by Azpilicueta while Iva starts and Ramires plays deep midfield with Fabregas out. If I were the one, I would play Remy on the right hand side, William on the right with hazard through the middle and Costa upfront.
I hope Chelsea win but less enthused despite the Tel aviv (whooping boys of the group) routing.
