Brentford v Hull player ratings

Brentford’s winning run was ended by Championship leaders Hull. Here’s how we rated the Bees players in their 2-0 defeat at Griffin Park.

David Button: 6
Produced some very good saves but spilled a shot from Mo Diame right into the path of Sam Clucas for the second goal.

Nico Yennaris: 5
Struggled to contain the threat of Clucas, not least when the winger burst up the left-hand side and slotted Robertson in for Hull’s opener.

James Tarkowski: 6
Solid at the back and was an outlet with forward runs, setting up Konstantin Kerschbaumer for a shot that hit the post late on.

Harlee Dean: 6
Made some important blocks and interceptions but was given a tough time by Abel Hernandez.

Jake Bidwell: 7
Was able to get forward often and always provided a threat, with a number of good crosses.

Ryan Woods: 6
Displayed his good variation of passing and should perhaps have scored when Kerschmauber’s shot hit the post and he blasted over from six yards out.

Alan McCormack: 7
Gave a typically robust and aggressive performance in midfield.

Toumani Diagouraga: 6
Found it tough up against Jake Livermore and David Meyler, but worked hard as always.

John Swift: 6
Made some good passes in the first half, including one particularly clever assist that set up Marco Djuricin for a close-range shot that was saved.

Lasse Vibe: 6
Replaced the injured Alan Judge and combined well with Djuricin in the first half, but faded and was replaced by Kerschbaumer.

Marco Djuricin: 6
Picked up some good positions, especially in the first half when he had two good efforts on goal that were saved.

Konstantin Kerschbaumer: 6
Looked decent after coming on and hit the post with a volley.
