Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says he expects to call upon youngsters such as Charly Musonda and Kenedy more as the season progresses.
Both players scored in the Carabao Cup thrashing of Nottingham Forest this week and Conte says they have shown they can be counted on when needed.
“I was pleased to see this type of performance from Charly and Kenedy and for sure these are two players with good prospects,” the Italian said on Friday.
“I think they will stay with us and if they stay in our squad it means we trust them and they have to continue in this way.
“In the last game I felt a good atmosphere in the changing room – a good link between young players and old players.
“I think that is the right way because the season is very long and for sure I have to give opportunities to these players to show they are learning and are ready to help us.”
Meanwhile, Conte has reiterated that Kurt Zouma’s long-term future will be at Chelsea.
Zouma signed a new deal with the Blues before recently joining Stoke City on a season-long loan.

Musonda Jr on the wing will electrify & mesmerize! Kenedy the same, all they need is to be given a game! Unpredictability is key, when least expected, unleash them and with their capability & humility them shinin' is not a probability! It's a gurantee! Opponents already know how to deal with Conte's 11!!He better switch it up every odd game, like Arsenal @home! Wenger has his #! Had he changed it up we'd have bagged 3pts! The back 3 should be Christensen, LUIZ & Rudiger! PERIOD... WINGBACKS should alternate Moses/Zapacosta... Kenedy/BABA/Alonso... CM should have permanent fixtures of KANTE & BAKAYOKO occasionally playing Drinkwater & Fabregas! Wing play we should unleash Hazard, Willian/Musonda jr/Pedro in that order, we need more goals from our attacking midfielders to be able to compete with the Manchester duo they're the biggest threat to as retainin' our title their fire power is unquestionable!! Bat needs more starting games!! With solid rotation we bring unpredictability, specially for big home games! Had Conte(trusted) played the team that got us to the FA Cup final 'gainst Arsenal and not his constant 11we'd have secured the double!! He shouldn't make the same error this campaign!!
Yea Kennedy is the right back up for Alonso.
The partnership between Hazard Masonda is fantastic. I will like to see him and Kennedy playing 15 -20 minutes of our game. With kenenedy we have a back up for Alonzo .
