Terry to undergo keyhole surgery

Chelsea captain John Terry is to undergo keyhole surgery amid fears he could be sidelined for another six weeks.

Andre Villas-Boas was reported to be planning to gamble with Terry’s fitness and select him for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Napoli.

But the Blues boss repeatedly insisted that the defender was likely to miss the match because of his knee problem, and Terry did not play in Naples despite taking part in a training session.

He will also be unavailable for England’s game against the Netherlands next Wednesday.
