Hazard confirms he is set to leave Chelsea

Eden Hazard confirmed after inspiring Chelsea to their Europa League triumph against Arsenal that he expects it to be his final appearance for the Blues.

Hazard scored twice as Chelsea cruised to a 4-1 victory in the all-London final in Baku.

And the Belgian star admitted afterwards that he has told Chelsea he wants to leave after seven years at the club, with a move to Real Madrid likely to be announced in the coming days.

Hazard told BT Sport: “I told (Chelsea) my decision already. I told Chelsea two weeks ago and now it depends on the club. It depends on both the clubs.

“You will know in a couple of days. I think it’s goodbye, but in football you never know.

“My dream was to play in the Premier League and I have for seven years. Now maybe it’s time for a new challenge.”

Pedro, who scored Chelsea’s second goal after Olivier Giroud had put them ahead, admitted that Hazard would be tough to replace.

“He is the best player and I am so happy for him to win this title,” Pedro said.

“It’s another trophy and I think we deserve it because we were the best team in the tournament. To close the season with a trophy is great.”
