Some of the recent transfer speculation involving Chelsea….
Chelsea want £23m for Davide Zappacosta, according to the Daily Mail.
With young right-back Reece James on the way back from injury, Chelsea could let Zappacosta leave before the European transfer window closes on 2 September.
He has been linked with a return to his native Italy, with Roma reported to be keen to sign him.
But the Mail say Roma are struggling to meet the asking price and are looking at a potential loan deal.
Roma want Batshuayi – reports
The Mail have also picked up on recent reports in Italy suggesting that Roma want Michy Batshuayi.
The Serie A club are said to be keen to sign striker Batshuayi on loan with a view to a permanent move.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has since indicated that Batshuayi will be staying at Stamford Bridge.
Blues linked with Chilwell
Lampard is planning a move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, it has been claimed.
A transfer ban means Chelsea will not be able to sign players until next summer unless a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport leads to the ban being lifted in January.
And The Sun have claimed Lampard wants to buy England international Chilwell, 22, when Chelsea are free to make signings again.
Manchester City were linked with Chilwell, who is said to be rated at £70m, but no move materialised during the recent transfer window.
The Sun say Lampard has been tracking the player and wants to take him to the Bridge.
Chilwell is touted as a possible replacement for Marcos Alonso amid speculation over the Spaniard’s long-term future.
