Transfer gossip: Kenedy and Caballero linked with moves

Kenedy is looking to leave Chelsea on a permanent basis before the European transfer window closes, according to Goal.com.

The Brazilian’s first-team chances at Chelsea remain limited and he is said to be assessing his options ahead of the 2 September deadline.

Kenedy has a year remaining on his Chelsea deal and the club have tended to extend players’ contracts before loaning them out.

Goal.com say he is looking to avoid this and would rather leave the club permanently.


Real want Caballero, Marca say

Real Madrid want Chelsea back-up keeper Willy Caballero, it is claimed.

Spanish newspaper Marca say Real are interested in a potential pre-deadline deal for the 37-year-old.


Blues linked with German youngster

Chelsea are among English clubs German media reports have linked with Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz.

Sport 1 have claimed that the Blues are chasing Havertz, 20, along with Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.

It is also claimed that the Germany international, who has been tipped to eventually move to the Premier League, is valued at £91m.


Bakayoko move blocked – reports

Chelsea have rejected an offer for Tiemoue Bakayoko from his former club Monaco, according to reports.

Monaco made an approach to take Bakayoko on loan but Chelsea are said to have been unhappy with the terms of the deal.

The Daily Express have claimed that Paris St-Germain are also keen on Bakayoko ahead of the European transfer deadline on 2 September.


Roma want Batshuayi – reports

The Daily Mail have picked up on recent reports in Italy suggesting that Roma want Michy Batshuayi.

The Serie A club are said to be keen to sign striker Batshuayi on loan with a view to a permanent move.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has since indicated that Batshuayi will be staying at Stamford Bridge.

The Evening Standard has since reported that Batshuayi wants to stay and fight for a place but that he will reassess the situation in January.


Blues linked with Chilwell

Lampard is planning a move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, it has been claimed.

A transfer ban means Chelsea will not be able to sign players until next summer unless a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport leads to the ban being lifted in January.

And The Sun have claimed Lampard wants to buy England international Chilwell, 22, when Chelsea are free to make signings again.

Manchester City were linked with Chilwell, who is said to be rated at £70m, but no move materialised during the recent transfer window.

The Sun say Lampard has been tracking the player and wants to take him to the Bridge.

Chilwell is touted as a possible replacement for Marcos Alonso amid speculation over the Spaniard’s long-term future.
