Transfer gossip: Chelsea among clubs linked with Belgium defender

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea are among English clubs said to be keen on Paris St-Germain defender Thomas Meunier.

Manchester United have been linked with the Belgium right-back in recent weeks and PSG are reported to have told them that he would cost £26m.

And the Daily Mirror have picked up on French radio station RMC claiming that Chelsea and Arsenal have now joined a race to sign Meunier.

Hazard speculation

There continues to be speculation over the future of Eden Hazard.

The Sun say Real Madrid will offer him £400,000 a week – after tax – to join them from Chelsea and that the Blues are willing to let him go for around £100m.

The newspaper say Chelsea have told Hazard’s representatives that the club will not stand in his way.

The Times say Real have cooled their interest in Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and have made signing Hazard their priority.

Spanish media reports have again been claiming that Real are close to a deal to sign Hazard.

Reports in Spain have claimed on several occasions – including during the January transfer window, when no approach was made for Hazard – that a deal for him to join Real has been agreed or is close.

Marca now claim Real are closing in on an £86m deal to sign Hazard this summer, while AS claim Chelsea have lowered their asking price.

Hazard’s contract expires next year and he has made no secret of his desire to play for Real.

Wolves and Everton tipped to target Abraham

Wolves are again being tipped to move for Tammy Abraham this summer.

The striker has impressed while on loan from Chelsea at Aston Villa – and Wolves attempted to snap him up in January.

And the Daily Mirror say Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo will try to sign Abraham on loan for next season.

The Daily Star have picked up on reports linking Everton with Abraham.

Bayern tipped to end Hudson-Odoi pursuit

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s injury has prompted more speculation over the youngster’s future.

Hudson-Odoi, whose Chelsea contract expires next year, faces a long spell out of action after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The Daily Telegraph say Chelsea will maintain their efforts to get him to sign a new deal and that his injury is likely to mean Bayern Munich, who have been pursuing him, are no longer interested.

But the Daily Mail say Hudson-Odoi, who previously made it clear he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge, will still not be rushed into signing a new contract.

The Mail say Bayern and fellow German clubs RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have a “firm interest” in him and it “remains to be seen” whether they will now make offers this summer.

United linked with James

Manchester United are interested in Chelsea youngster Reece James, according to the Mail.

It comes after The Sun claimed that Brighton had a £10m bid for James rejected and that Crystal Palace are also interested in the England Under-20 international, who has impressed while on loan at Wigan this season.

James has been touted as a possible replacement for Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has been linked with several clubs, including Chelsea.

And the Mail claim United are also monitoring James ahead of a possible move.

Chelsea still being linked with Coutinho

Chelsea continue to be linked with Barcelona’s former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

The Blues face the prospect of a transfer embargo but a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport would see the ban lifted this summer, so Chelsea continue to be linked with players.

One of them is Coutinho and the Daily Mail have picked up on various reports claiming that the Brazilian has been lined up as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard.

Bakayoko ‘to cost £30m’

Calciomercato say AC Milan will have to pay around £30m for Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer.

Bakayoko is on a season-long loan at the Italian club, who reportedly want to sign him on a permanent deal.

Zenit reportedly want Kovacic

Mateo Kovacic’s representatives are discussing a potential move to Zenit St Petersburg for the midfielder, according to the Daily Mail.

Kovacic is on a season-long loan at Chelsea from Real Madrid and his long-term future is unclear.

Blues head coach Maurizio Sarri has said that he wants the Croatian to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea linked with Pepe

Chelsea want Lille star Nicolas Pepe, it is claimed.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on the Ivory Coast winger, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Sun have picked up on French media reports claiming that Chelsea also want Pepe, who has scored 19 goals this season.

He is among several players to have been touted as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard, who continues to be linked with Real Madrid.

Blues interested in Ajax star – Mirror

Chelsea have again been linked with Ajax forward David Neres Campos.

The Sun say Arsenal and Manchester United are battling to sign the 22-year-old Brazilian and that there is also interest from Chelsea and Everton.

Chelsea also linked with Isak

Chelsea are interested in Borussia Dortmund’s teenage Swedish striker Alexander Isak, the Mirror say.

Isak, 19, is currently on loan at Dutch club Willem II and Chelsea are said to have sent a scout to watch him in action against Ajax.
