Transfer gossip: Kepa wants loan move, Sun say

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is willing to take a pay cut in order to secure a loan move in January, according to The Sun.

Kepa, who has lost his place to Edouard Mendy following a series of mistakes, recently indicated that he wanted to stay at Stamford Bridge and try to win back his spot in the team.

But The Sun declare that being relegated to Spain’s third-choice keeper has convinced Kepa that he needs to move elsewhere and play regular first-team football to ensure he does not miss out on next year’s European Championships.

The newspaper say he will therefore accept a reduction to his wages – he reportedly earns £150,000 a week – in order to facilitate a loan move when the transfer window reopens.

The newspaper say left-back Alonso has been identified as a possible replacement for former Chelsea man Patrick van Aanholt, whose Palace contract expires next summer.

Boateng still being touted for move

Chelsea are once again being linked with Jerome Boateng.

The Bayern Munich defender has been touted for a move to Stamford Bridge many times in recent years.

And The Sun have picked up on German publication Bild claiming that Chelsea are among Premier League clubs keen on Boateng.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be interested in signing the Germany international, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
