Transfer gossip: Real eyeing Anderson as alternative to Hazard, Sky say

Some of the recent transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Sky Sports claim Real Madrid are lining up West Ham’s Felipe Anderson as a possible alternative signing should they miss out on Eden Hazard.

There continues to be speculation over the future of Chelsea star Hazard, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires next year.

Reports have claimed that Chelsea face having to sell the Belgian if he will not sign a new deal this summer.

But Sky suggest the prospect of a Fifa-imposed transfer ban means Chelsea could choose to keep Hazard as they would be unable to sign a replacement.

Sky claim Real are therefore looking at Anderson as a potential signing instead.

Earlier this week, a number of newspapers, including The Sun and the Daily Express picked on a story by the Daily Record, which claimed Chelsea have rejected an initial offer for Hazard from Real.

Dortmund linked with Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s call-up to the senior England squad has prompted more speculation about the Chelsea youngster’s future.

Bayern Munich want to sign Hudson-Odoi, whose Blues contract expires next year, and plan to pursue him again in the summer having had bids rejected by Chelsea in January.

The Sun claim Bayern fear his call-up will increase his price, potentially putting him out of their reach.

The Daily Telegraph, meanwhile, claim Borussia Dortmund also want Hudson-Odoi and could rival Bayern in a bidding war.

The Daily Mirror run a similar story, declaring that Dortmund will target Hudson-Odoi if they lose Jadon Sancho, who has been linked with Manchester United.

Rabiot again touted for move

Chelsea are yet again being linked with Adrien Rabiot.

Reports suggested that Barcelona had agreed a deal to sign the France midfielder from Paris St-Germain this summer.

It is now claimed that the deal is in doubt, with The Sun declaring that Chelsea and Manchester United “are back in the race” to snap him up. Barcelona are said to have been put off by the player’s wage demands.

The Daily Express, meanwhile, say Arsenal as well as Chelsea and United want Rabiot and have been ‘given a transfer boost’ by doubts over his move to Barca.

French clubs could struggle to land Giroud – report

Olivier Giroud’s wage demands could put him beyond the reach of both Marseille and Lyon, Le10 Sport say.

Both French clubs have been linked with the striker, who is expected to leave Chelsea at the end of the season.

Cherries linked with Mount

Bournemouth want to sign Mason Mount on loan from Chelsea for next season, according to The Sun.

Mount has impressed while on loan with Championship side Derby County this season.

The Sun say the Cherries are keen on him but that Chelsea could decide to keep the young midfielder because of the transfer ban and the possibility of again being in the Europa League, which the club’s youngsters have featured in.
