Transfer gossip: PSG again linked with Kante

Stories involving Chelsea in Sunday’s newspapers…

Paris St-Germain are again being linked with Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

The Sunday Mirror declare that PSG are determined to sign the France international this summer.

The newspaper add that the Ligue 1 champions are targeting Kante after Everton refused to sell Idrissa Gueye to them.

The story suggests that Everton do not have to sell their player but that Chelsea – who have secured a Champions League place and whose financial clout is well known – might struggle to keep Kante because of the money PSG are willing to spend.


Hudson-Odoi to be offered 10 shirt – Mail

There remains speculation over the futures of Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The contracts of both players expire next year and Hazard continues to be linked with Real Madrid.

The Mail on Sunday say Chelsea, as part of the club’s attempts to persuade Hudson-Odoi to sign a new deal, will offer him the number 10 shirt currently worn by Hazard if the Belgian leaves.


Zouma and Abraham may stay – Sunday Mirror

Chelsea will keep Kurt Zouma and Tammy Abraham if the club’s transfer ban stays in place, The Sun on Sunday say.

Zouma and Abraham have been on loan at Everton and Aston Villa respectively and both those clubs are keen to agree permanent deals.

The Sunday Mirror say Villa are already preparing for talks about buying Abraham if they win promotion via the play-offs.


Chelsea linked with duo yet again

The Daily Star Sunday claim Chelsea want to sign Marco Asensio and Edinson Cavani if the transfer ban is lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Real Madrid’s Asensio and Paris St-Germain’s Cavani have been linked with Chelsea during successive transfer windows.
