Chelsea 0 Bournemouth 3

Chelsea slumped to a shock defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Nathan Ake scored against his former club as Bournemouth left the Blues embarrassed.

Callum Wilson struck early in the second half before the Cherries netted twice in the space of three minutes, with Ake scoring after Junior Stanislas had doubled their lead.

Wilson nudged Tiemoue Bakayoko off the ball and exchanged passes with Jordon Ibe before slotting past Thibaut Courtois.

Wilson then set up the second goal by flicking the ball on to Stanislas, who shot through keeper Courtois’ legs.

And worse followed for the champions when Stanislas’ shot ricocheted to Ake, who poked home at the far post.

It was a miserable night for Chelsea, who lost Andreas Christensen in the first half after the defender suffered what looked like a hamstring injury, and they were denied what seemed like a clear penalty soon after the third goal.

With Ross Barkley making his first start for the club and Eden Hazard again leading their attack, Chelsea settled after a sloppy start and were on top when Bournemouth broke the deadlock.

Hazard was excellent in spells and Marcos Alonso went close for Chelsea with a header and a free-kick.

But the visitors were the better side for large parts of the game.

They also enjoyed a slice of luck when no penalty was awarded despite Ake using his hand to block Pedro’s header.

Chelsea: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen (Rudiger 27), Cahill, Zappacosta (Hudson-Odoi 65), Kante, Bakayoko, Alonso, Barkley (Fabregas 55), Hazard, Pedro.
Subs not used: Cabellero, Ampadu, Drinkwater, Moses.

  • PLZ SEND CONTE AWAY, PLZ ABRAMOVIC AM BEGGING U, HE'S SPOILING CHELSEA FC

  • It seems the Chelsea FC manager is obsessed with Bakayoko that he must play every game. Conte is likely to go the Mourinho way while at Stamford Bridge.

  • Yes Conte must go! He has succeeded in making Chelsea look ordinary. This is just the beginning, more is yet to come. We don't need a prophet to tell us that Chelsea is doomed with Conte and Bakayoko at Chelsea. The clown claims he had a thin squad yet loaned and sold all the best talents we have. It is a shame, very embarrassing and ridiculous

  • enough is enough A.conte must have already left the bridge. With the kind of formation he start...leaving moses and fabregas and udson in the bench.pls with need former barcelona coache to take over.

  • To be frank Chelsea needs another coach. Imagine bournmouth score 3 pass chelsea. What a disgrace

  • Conte should please leave at once. How on earth will you hate a player so much (David Luis) and deprive him from helping the club. You are too stubborn and arrogant. Same you did to mikel obi(for olympics games) and Diego costa. Please just leave and never return.
