Transfer gossip: Hazard move in doubt, AS now say

Spanish media reports, which have consistently declared that Eden Hazard is on his way to Real Madrid, are now suggesting the move might not happen in light of Chelsea’s transfer ban.
Fifa have rejected an appeal from Chelsea, who are now set to take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
AS, which had been reporting that a deal was in place for Hazard to move, now declare that the failed appeal is “very bad news” for the Belgian’s expected transfer to Real and could scupper it.
The newspaper previously declared that Hazard was considering handing in a transfer request because Chelsea had refused to lower their asking price for the Belgian below £100m.
Speculation over Hudson-Odoi’s future
Callum Hudson-Odoi is making a good recovery from his injury – prompting more speculation about the Chelsea youngster’s future.
Hudson-Odoi, whose contract expires next year, indicated he wanted to leave in January amid interest from Bayern Munich.
Having subsequently been given a chance in the Premier League, the 18-year-old suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon.
An operation was a success and it is hoped that Hudson-Odoi could train during pre-season and be back in action as early as September.
The Sun say Bayern remain interested in him and are monitoring his progress, while the Daily Mail say Chelsea will restart talks with him and will face a decision over whether to sell if he does not sign a new deal.
Chelsea to decide duo’s future – Sun
Chelsea are planning a meeting next week to decide the short-term futures of Mason Mount (pictured) and Fikayo Tomori, The Sun say.
Both Blues youngsters have impressed while on loan at Derby this season and it remains to be seen whether they will be loaned out again or given a chance at Chelsea.
Burnley tipped to target Cahill
Burnley are interested in signing Gary Cahill, again according to The Sun.
Defender Cahill will leave Chelsea when his contract expires this summer.
Bordeaux want Giroud – Mail
Olivier Giroud continues to be linked with a return to his native France.
The Daily Mail reports that Bordeaux are keen to sign the Chelsea striker when his contract finishes at the end of the season.
Neves linked again
Chelsea have again been linked with Ajax forward David Neres.
The Sun claim Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has joined the Blues and Arsenal in a race to sign the Brazilian.
It is claimed that Chelsea will be in the running to buy him depending on the outcome of the club’s appeal against a transfer ban.
Zouma to spend pre-season with Chelsea – Mail
Kurt Zouma will spend pre-season with Chelsea despite Everton being keen to sign him on a permanent deal, the Daily Mail say.
Defender Zouma has impressed while on a season-long at Goodison Park.
Brighton want James – Argus
Brighton have again been linked with Chelsea youngster Reece James.
The Argus say Albion want to sign the defender, who has been on loan at Wigan. Crystal Palace are also said to be keen.
Owls eyeing Hector deal – Mirror
Michael Hector is another defender to have impressed on loan in the Championship.
Hector has been a key player for Sheffield Wednesday, whose manager Steve Bruce wants to sign him from Chelsea for £3m, according to the Daily Mirror.
Fraser still being touted for move
Chelsea have again been linked with Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser.
It is claimed that Chelsea are among clubs keen on the Scotland winger.
The Daily Mail say he is open to a move and that Bournemouth face a battle to keep him.
Keeper Bulka ‘set to join PSG’
Chelsea’s teenage goalkeeper Marcin Bulka is reportedly set to quit the club and join Paris St-Germain.
Chelsea have been keen to extend Bulka’s contract, which expires this summer.
But Goal.com say he is set to sign a pre-contract agreement with PSG. Bulka’s agent is reported to be in France finalising the deal.
The 19-year-old Pole, who joined Chelsea in 2016 after previously being on Barcelona’s books, reportedly believes his first-team prospects would be better with PSG than the Blues.
