Chelsea youngsters beat 10-man Manchester City

Goals from Luke McCormick (pictured) and Daishawn Redan gave Chelsea’s development side a 2-0 win at home to Manchester City on Friday evening.

Skipper McCormick, back in the starting line-up after a injury, brilliantly curled in the opener midway through the first half of the Premier League 2 game at Aldershot.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men just before the hour mark when Cameron Humphreys was sent off after picking up a second yellow card.

And Redan sealed the win in injury time with a simple close-range finish after being set up by Tariq Lamptey.

Earlier on Friday, Chelsea’s Under-18 side lost 3-0 at Arsenal.

Folarin Balogun put the hosts ahead in the game at London Colney and second-half goals from Tyreece John-Jules and Sam Greenwood sealed a resounding Arsenal win.
