Chelsea duo train but Eto’o looks doubtful

John Mikel Obi and Andre Schurrle trained with the rest of the Chelsea squad on Monday morning but Samuel Eto’o did not take part in the session.

Eto’o has been nursing a hamstring problem and is a doubt for Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris St-Germain.

The striker reported for training but worked with assistant first-team coach Rui Faria while the main group of Blues players were put through their paces.

Mikel could return to action

Schurrle was substituted during the second half of Saturday’s win against Stoke following a crunching tackle from Charlie Adam.

However, boss Jose Mourinho expects him to be available for the game against PSG, who lead 3-1 from the first leg in France.

Mikel missed the Stoke game through injury and his presence on the training ground was a boost for Chelsea given that Ramires is suspended and Nemanja Matic is ineligible to play.
