Chelsea defender Disasi set for Palace loan move

Out-of-favour Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is set to join Crystal Palace on loan.

The clubs have been in contact about Disasi for some time and a potential deal was discussed prior to Chelsea signing Maxence Lacroix from the Eagles earlier this summer.

An agreement for Disasi to move to Selhurst Park on loan is now in place and there is no obligation to buy included. He is expected to have a medical in the next 24 hours.

Disasi, 28, has three years left on his contract but is not in new boss Xabi Alonso’s plans.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham and before that was on loan at Aston Villa.

He was one of a number of senior Blues players not given a shirt number for the new season.
