Chelsea boss Conte hails unselfish Kante

N’Golo Kante’s selflessness has already made the midfielder a key player for Chelsea, according to boss Antonio Conte.

Kante joined the Blues from Saturday’s opponents Leicester City for around £30m during the summer.

The Frenchman has started all seven league matches so far this season, but did not play against his former club when the two sides met in the EFL Cup last month.

“We are very pleased to have this player with us,” Conte said. “He is a fantastic player with good stamina, technique and personality.

“He brought a great will to fight and he is a humble man and player, and I like him. I like these type of players that put the team before himself.”

Captain John Terry has been passed fit to return for the Leicester game after recovering from an ankle injury.

Willian is unavailable following the recent death of his mother.
