Chelsea boss bemoans missed chances

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said his side missed a great chance to as good as secure their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after dominating the first half of the 1-1 draw against Galatasary in Turkey.

The draw and away goal leaves the Blues firm favourites to progress to the last eight.

But Mourinho felt Chelsea failed to make the most of their impressive start.

“In the first half the game was our game and we had chances once more to kill the game,” he told said.

“I am not critical of my strikers, because they gave a very good game. But overall when we got to counter-attacks situations, we are missing the last pass, the last control and the last choice.

“In the first half we had we have many occasions to do the second goal and the second goal would change completely the story of the game. In the second half, they the put pressure on us.”

  • I am very sory for Chelsea b/cs they don't know how to kill the game. Mo always says kill the game but Chelsea find it difct to use all their chances untill Gala force them to draw. And Mo need to tell Hazard to release ball in time. I wish them good luck for second leg.
