Injury heartbreak for Brentford’s Macleod

Lewis Macleod suffered a serious knee injury against QPR and will miss the rest of the season, Brentford have confirmed.

The 22-year-old was stretchered off during the Bees’ win at Loftus Road on Friday evening.

He requires reconstructive surgery and is due to have an operation in the next two weeks.

Macleod was out of action for a year because of injury problems following his move to Griffin Park from Glasgow Rangers in January 2015.

The Scotland Under-21 international has impressed this season but now faces another long spell on the sidelines.
