Bees boss frustrated after ‘worst performance’

Brentford boss Dean Smith described his team’s performance at Norwich as the worst of his managerial career.

The Bees were hammered 5-0 by a Norwich side that had lost their previous five matches.

“I’ve told the players it’s the worst performance I’ve had as a manager,” Smith said.

“The players have to look in the mirror. I’ll look in the mirror as well. I’ll look at the selection; did I get that right?

“But after the third goal I thought a few of us gave up. We have to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

Brentford are down to 18th in the Championship table, having lost four games in a row since the derby triumph at QPR at the end of October – their only win in their last nine matches.

  • That sounds exactly like Neil after the Brighton game! Difference being that this is hardly unexpected. Neil is still a total shunt.
