Bees trialist nets six-minute hat-trick

A prolific non-League striker came off the bench to score a six-minute hat-trick for Brentford’s Under-21s as they beat Crystal Palace 3-0.

Teenager Keshi Anderson, who has scored 20 goals in all competitions for Southern League Division One Central side Barton Rovers, has been training with the Bees, having previously been on trial at Norwich City.

He came on in the second half and grabbed all three goals in the last 10 minutes, converting a Nico Yennaris pass for his first, snapping up a rebound from Jermaine Udumaga’s shot to make it 2-0 and completing his hat-trick with a header.

Anderson, who has also spent time at Luton Town this season, was the subject of a bid from Cambridge United earlier this month, but it was turned down by Barton.

Tony Craig and Sam Saunders also started the game, as did Josh Laurent, the Bees’ recent signing from QPR.
