The Daily Telegraph say Stoke are set to make Brentford an offer for Ryan Woods.

West London Sport revealed last month that Swansea City were keen on the 24-year-old midfielder.

Brentford rejected the Welsh club’s approaches but the Telegraph say Stoke are looking to sign Woods on loan ahead of a £6.5m permanent move in January.

There continues to be speculation over the short-term future of Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Daily Mirror claim he could seek a loan move to Spain, where the transfer window remains open until the end of the month.

The Mirror also say Loftus-Cheek would not sign a new Chelsea contract before leaving on loan – the club often give young players new deals before loaning them out.

The Daily Telegraph say Chelsea want Loftus-Cheek to stay and fight for his place despite the England international being unhappy about being overlooked by boss Maurizio Sarri.

The Daily Telegraph also say Tammy Abraham is unconvinced joining Aston Villa would be a good move for him.

Championship club Villa are keen to sign the striker on a season-long loan deal.

The Telegraph suggest Abraham, who spent last season in the Premier League on loan at Swansea, is not keen to drop down a division.

Hazard speculation continues

Eden Hazard will be offered a five-year contract by Chelsea but will only commit his long-term future to the club if they return to the Champions League, The Sun say.

Real Madrid continue to be linked with the Belgian, who has hinted he would like to join them.

The Sun say Chelsea are ready to pay him £300,000 a week but Hazard is not convinced he should stay and that he is unlikely to change his find if they again miss out on the top four.
