Transfer gossip: Brentford linked with ex-QPR man Osayi-Samuel

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Brentford…

QPR: Bright Osayi-Samuel

Brentford are among clubs keen to sign Bright Osayi-Samuel, it is claimed.

Osayi-Samuel’s representatives are looking to secure him a move this summer back to England from Turkish side Fenerbahce, who signed him from QPR.

Since leaving west London he has been converted from a winger to a right-back and has impressed.

He is duly being linked with Premier League clubs, with Football Insider claiming the Bees, West Ham and Southampton are interested in signing him.

The website says it has been told by an “industry source” that the three clubs “are all admirers of Osayi-Samuel and highly regard his versatility and blistering pace.”

Eriksen speculation

There continues to be speculation over the future of Christian Eriksen.

The Denmark star has been hugely impressive since being signed by Brentford on a contract until the end of the season.

The Bees are hoping to keep him beyond then, but given that he will potentially soon be available on a free transfer, a number of clubs have been linked with him – including his former club Tottenham.

Manchester United, West Ham, Newcastle and Everton are also among the clubs to have been linked with him.

Speaking about Eriksen’s long-term future, Brentford boss Thomas Frank recently said: “I think it’s realistic to keep him, 100%, but I am also aware that there are bigger clubs out there that could potentially be interested.

“I think it’s probably down to a lot of factors but I hope that he likes the project and he wants to stay.

“I’m just enjoying having him here. I don’t think it’s the time to focus too much on what’s going to happen at the end of the season.

“He’s here until the end of the season and then there are some options afterwards but that will be decided at the end of the season.

“I think that’s a discussion between Christian and the club. Of course if you ask me, I hope that he will stay for a longer time.

“I’m convinced and sure that he’s happy with life right now. He’s come to a club with a very good environment and good atmosphere and I’m sure that he likes that a lot and he knows a lot of people here.
