Brentford v Sheffield Wednesday line-ups: Bees duo fit again, Owls pair out

Ollie Watkins returns to the Brentford squad for Saturday’s visit of Sheffield Wednesday.

The forward missed the Bees’ Boxing Day victory over Aston Villa with a foot injury but is fit enough for the bench.

Josh Clarke has recovered from an ankle injury and is also among the substitutes, with Dean Smith naming the same starting XI that beat Villa 2-1.

John Egan (head) and Henrik Dalsgaard (heel) remain sidelined, with Chris Mepham and Nico Yennaris again deputising.

Sheffield Wednesday are without striker Gary Hooper and defender Joost Van Aken, who sustained knocks during the win at Nottingham Forest.

Lucas Joao drops to the bench, with Jacob Butterfield starting. The Owls side also includes former Chelsea youngster Sam Hutchinson.

Brentford: Bentley; Yennaris, Mepham, Bjelland, Barbet; McEachran, Woods; Jozefzoon, Sawyers, Canos; Vibe.

Sheffield Wednesday: Wildsmith; Palmer, Loovens, Pudil, Fox; Wallace, Hutchinson, Butterfield, Reach; Rhodes, Nuhiu.
Subs: Dawson, Hunt, Jones, Joao, Matias, Abdi, Venancio.
