Brentford 3 Sunderland 3

Brentford came back from 3-1 down at Griffin Park, where Neal Maupay’s equaliser earned them a point.

Nico Yennaris’ early tap-in put the Bees ahead before Lewis Grabban netted a 13th-minute equaliser and Dan Bentley’s own goal gifted Sunderland the lead five minutes before the interval.

The ball ended up in the net after keeper Bentley fumbled Bryan Oviedo’s corner, and Grabban then scored his second in first-half injury time.

But Brentford battled back in the second half, with Florian Jozefzoon’s stunning free-kick hauling them back into the game before Maupay’s deflected shot completed the comeback.

The home side made a great start, with Yennaris on hand to score after Jozefzoon’s shot came back off the post.

Sunderland then took control, with Grabban’s neat finish and Bentley’s error putting them ahead before Grabban scored from the penalty spot after Ryan Woods had fouled Duncan Watmore.

However, the home side responded and Jozefzoon netted in fine style before setting up Maupay for the equaliser.
