‘Anyone but Tim Sherwood’ – QPR fans react to Ramsey sacking
QPR fans on Twitter have broadly welcomed Neil Warnock’s new role as interim head coach – and have urged the club’s hierarchy to take their time in appointing a long-term replacement.
Many supporters want Warnock – who managed the club between 2010 and 2012 – to stay for the rest of the season, following Chris Ramsey’s sacking on Wednesday night.
And some are pushing the case for the likes of Shaun Derry and Clint Hill to be given a role.
Warnock with Derry or Hill as assistant until the summer would be the sensible option. #QPR don’t do sensible though. — Doug Norman (@OptimisticDoug) November 5, 2015
I think warnock with Clint hill no.2 atleast until end of season. Then when hill is ready put him as manager #QPR

Delighted Warnock has taken temporary charge of QPR. Things only got bad when he left never should have sacked him #Warnock #QPRFC — Lewis Henderson (@TheHendernator) November 4, 2015
Warnock till end of season, consolidate, no talk of promotion push. Conduct a thorough interview process in summer & get the right man in…

NO rush to appoint new manager, why not see what Warnock can do over a month or so and reevaluate then, he is 250-1 to win 1st 5 games. — Mark Sabey (@Sabes1010) November 5, 2015
But one man who does not seem popular with Rangers fans is Tim Sherwood. A close ally of Ramsey when the pair were at Tottenham, Sherwood had talks about the vacant post in February before taking over as Aston Villa manager. He was sacked as Villa boss last month and has once again been linked with Loftus Road – but supporters do not seem to want him.
Please not Sherwood, please not Sherwood, please not Sherwood. *rings hands, makes sign of the cross* #QPR

I don’t want Warnock, but I could live with Pearson. Sherwood is too egotistical and glib for me. — Just Shouty (@MrRae1000) November 4, 2015

We’re 13th and its November, talk of “consolidating” is ridiculous. I love Warnock but he’s not the man for us now, we need a longer term plan not a short term fix. We need to get a manager in who can take the club forward, give them the rest of this season to mould the side, with no expectations and build for a promotion push next season.
Personally I’d like Nigel Pearson or Paul Lambert, they’re young enough to have the drive and hunger to build a team but also with a decent amount of experience.

At least Sherwood has some passion in his body!
Imo he would be the perfect fit for Rangers.
