QPR linked with Lazio defender

QPR are interested in Lazio defender Abdoulay Konko, Italian media reports claim.

West Ham and West Bromwich Albion are also said to be keen on the 30-year-old, who is out of favour at Lazio following a number of injury problems.

Konko, who started his career with Juventus, could apparently be available for around £1.35m.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to be linked with Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger, with Metro touting the 21-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Blues skipper John Terry.

However, Stuttgart sports director Jochen Schneider has told German newspaper Bild that there has been no sign of interest from Chelsea and the Bundesliga club are looking to give Rudiger a new contract.

“Our intention is to extend the contract with Antonio Rudiger,” Schneider is quoted as saying.
