Keeper Kenny made available by QPR

QPR have, as expected, put keeper Paddy Kenny up for sale following their signing of Robert Green.

Several potentially interested clubs have been informed that Kenny, 34, is available for transfer.

Leeds boss Neil Warnock, who managed the Republic of Ireland international at Rangers, Sheffield United and Bury, is keen to take him to Elland Road.

But on Friday afternoon the chances of him being reunited with Warnock appeared to be rapidly receding.

Warnock is being hampered by financial restrictions and a number of Championship clubs believe they may be able to snatch Kenny from his grasp.

During his two seasons in west London, Kenny has made 77 league appearances for the R’s and was a key player in their promotion to the Premier League.

He had hoped to be offered an extension to his current contract, which is due to expire next year, but it has been clear for some time that his future lies away from Loftus Road.
