Stephan’s assistant Diarra set to leave QPR

Julien Stephan’s assistant Alou Diarra is set to leave QPR.

The 44-year-old Frenchman, whose playing career included spells at Liverpool, West Ham and Charlton, moved to west London when Stephan took over as head coach last summer.

Diarra previously had coaching roles in France, at Troyes and Lens, and has long been keen to work as a head coach.

And he will be moving on after a year with the R’s, who finished 15th in the Championship in their first season under Stephan.
