Listen: Stephan explains why QPR have ‘real potential’
Julien Stephan insists the future can be brighter for QPR despite a miserable end to an arguably disappointing season.
Rangers ended an injury-hit campaign with a 3-0 defeat at Ipswich – their fourth consecutive loss – but the head coach claimed that the club is making good progress.

‘…but the head coach claimed that the club is making good progress.’
Let’s be honest, no manager is going to throw his job away by claiming the clubs got worse under him/her, but this guy is a joke.
He was coming to help improve us & yet more losses, goals against & bigger losing scorelines is NOT any improvement I’ve ever heard of!
He was to bring youth talent through, but we’ve not really seen much of this at all & then, near the end of the season he cries out for more experienced players to be brought in. Not only has he done a u-turn on what he was apparently so good at doing, he now wants senior players, starts gossip about a French club interested in him & then shows how deluded he really is, to claim we’ve improved & more to come.
It’s another yes man appointment, that shouldn’t happen anyway, but after 1 of our worst ever seasons for scorelines, he now feels he’s done more than enough to dictate who is bought etc…
There’s a ferry that goes from England to France regularly, so make sure you get on it & don’t ever come back 🙂
Can we then bring in a Championship experienced manager who knows the league inside out. I’m tired of new managers who have never even been to England before coming to manage us, when we all know this league is extremely hard to get out of unless you go down.
Stephan claimed we did better in 1 way, because we were free of relegation before the end of the season. So our aim a few seasons ago was to get promoted & now, they’ve said they just want to avoid relegation? We brought in several players & while injury prone players seem to have been the main agenda yet again, I don’t believe the owners would have wanted to simply be free of relegation & for that alone, he should be sacked!
