Brentford and Fulham draw in derby stalemate

Brentford and Fulham were unable to break the deadlock in a disappointing west London derby.

Both sides are chasing a European place – the Bees still have a change of reaching the Champions League – but the game was unexpectedly lacking in intensity.

Brentford had the better chances and went close in the first half, when Igor Thiago headed Mathias Jensen’s cross against the post.

In the second half, Dango Ouattara’s shot was saved by Fulham keeper Bernd Leno, and Nathan Collins headed wide from Jensen’s corner.

And in stoppage time, Leno produced a superb save to keep out Ouattara’s goal-bound strike, before Collins again headed wide from a Jensen corner.
