Andrews proud of Brentford’s battling display at Leeds
Keith Andrews was proud of Brentford’s battling performance in their goalless draw at Leeds.
Both teams struggled to create chances, but the Bees defended well – especially when coming under pressure late on.
Head coach Andrews said: “Very proud of what the players produced and proud of the mentality coming to a very tough place against a really good side.
“We defended well against some really impressive players. We take immense pride that we dug deep to keep a clean sheet.”
Andrews’ side are seventh in the Premier League table going into the international break, three points behind fifth-placed Liverpool and five behind third-placed Aston Villa.
Brentford’s next two league games, against Everton on 11 April and Fulham seven days later, are both at home.
“A clean sheet was huge and how we defended the box was sensational,” Andrews added.
