Andrews signs new long-term Brentford contract
Keith Andrews has signed a new long-term contract as Brentford head coach, extending his stay until 2032.
Under Andrews, who replaced Thomas Frank last summer, the Bess have impressed this season.
They sit seventh in the Premier League table, just five points off the European places, and also made a run to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
Brentford are still in the FA Cup, and head to fellow London side West Ham in the hope of making the last eight of that competition too.
The club’s director of football, Phil Giles, said: “When Keith accepted the job last summer, he signed a three-year contract, but the intention was always that we’d review this at the earliest opportunity.
“Given our progress this season, I’m really happy that we have agreed this extension within the first nine months.
“Keith has done an outstanding job, the team are playing well and the things we thought we could be better at this season have all improved.
“He is a really good fit for the club and the way we like to work, as he is able to bring the best out of both players and staff alike.”
Under Andrews, who first joined the club as a set-piece coach in July 2024, the Bees have taken 40 points from 27 Premier League matches this season.
They also came into the new year with a club-record points total for that stage of a top-flight season, and will be dreaming of European football – even if the head coach did cool any talk of that after a 3-2 win away to Newcastle earlier in February.
Brentford next travel to face Premier League strugglers Burnley on Saturday.
