Charlton v QPR player ratings
QPR picked up a point in their third consecutive away goalless draw. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the stalemate at Charlton.
Joe Walsh: 8
Continues to impress. Produced a number of saves, including one at point-blank range to deny Conor Coady.
Ronnie Edwards: 6
Mostly OK at right-back, and showed his quality on the ball at times. But there were a couple of iffy moments, including a slip which presented Lyndon Dykes with a chance.
Jimmy Dunne: 8
Thwarted former R’s striker Dykes after Edwards’ mishap and was generally excellent. Also went close at the other end when Dykes got his own back by clearing Dunne’s stoppage-time header off the line.
Steve Cook: 8
Also excellent at the back, where his performances have made him impossible to drop, even with the signing of the popular Edwards. Used his experience, was composed throughout, and saved the day with several key interceptions.
Rhys Norrington-Davies: 7
Another gritty display on the left, where he defended well and was always willing to get forward.
Isaac Hayden: 7
A couple of heavy touches aside, Hayden did well in midfield and is another Rangers player enjoying a decent spell of form.
Nicolas Madsen: 6
A standout performer this season, Madsen didn’t influence this game until the final stages, where he was involved in some good attacking play as the visitors had late chances.
Koki Saito: 5
Ineffective before being taken off midway through the second half.
Harvey Vale: 6
Like Madsen, Vale was fairly subdued before some nice link-up play later in the game.
Paul Smyth: 6
Had a frustrating night on the left flank but worked hard and helped Rangers pin Charlton back for large parts of the second half before he was taken off.
Richard Kone: 7
No goal this time for Kone, but he showed plenty in terms of hold-up play, work off the ball and linking up with team-mates. He was a problem for Charlton throughout.
Daniel Bennie: 6
Played his part in some threatening attacking play from Rangers late on.
Rayan Kolli: 7
Unable to take a late chance, but certainly made an impact after his introduction. Crossed for Kone, who headed wide, and managed to pose more problems on the left than Smyth had.
