Brentford’s Onyeka completes Coventry loan move

Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has completed a loan move to Coventry City.

Onyeka, 28, will spend the rest of the season with the Championship leaders and the deal includes an obligation for Coventry to buy him if they go up.

Bees boss Keith Andrews would have been happy for him to stay, but the Nigeria international has not made a league appearances since October and was keen to play first-team football.

“My aim is to give 100%, bring my experience and help the team get promoted to the Premier League and bring glory to the city again,” Onyeka told Coventry’s website.

“I’m very excited to get going and I’m ready to give my all for Coventry.”
