Nicolas Madsen scored the winner as QPR came from behind to beat the Championship leaders at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 2-1 victory against Coventry.

Joe Walsh: 6

Dealt well with balls into his area. Was left exposed for Coventry’s goal, which he could do little about.

Ronnie Edwards: 7

A steady first outing for the defender since his recent move from Southampton. Never flustered. Was put up against his former Peterborough team-mate Ephron Mason-Clark, who went off injured in the second half after a clash with Karamoko Dembele.

Jimmy Dunne: 7

A great challenge on Ellis Simms in the first half summed up a typically robust Dunne display. He was excellent at the heart of the defence.

Steve Cook: 8

The veteran centre-back has been in great form and was again impressive. Won countless challenges.

Rhys Norrington-Davies: 7

A strong presence on the left for Rangers. Defended well and was always willing to get forward. Showed great persistence, not least when involved in the build-up to the winner.

Isaac Hayden: 7

Had a good game in midfield. A highlight was a lovely pass to Richard Kone in the first half.

Nicolas Madsen: 9

A terrific display. Set up the equaliser, scored the winner and was outstanding throughout.

Karamoko Dembele: 6

Was lively on the flank before having to go off injured midway through the first half.

Harvey Vale: 8

Played a key role in the win. The former Chelsea man was involved in the build-up to both Rangers goals, playing a lovely pass to Madsen to help set up the first, and then crossing for the second. He also set up a chance for Daniel Bennie late on.

Paul Smyth: 6

The end product was lacking, but Smyth worked hard on the right before going off in the second half.

Richard Kone: 8

Equalised with a close-range finish and was involved in other openings for Rangers. Held the ball up really well and his all-round performance was very good.

Daniel Bennie: 6

Came on for Dembele and was caught ball-watching for Coventry’s goal. He had some good moments after that, though, and was involved in the build-up to the equaliser.

Koki Saito: 7

Made a welcome return from injury, with an impact soon after coming off the bench, doing very well on the left to help Vale cross for the winner.
