West Ham among clubs keen on Chelsea defender Disasi

West Ham are among clubs interested in Chelsea defender Axel Disasi.

A number of European clubs are also keen on the 27-year-old, although they, like the Hammers, are mostly interested in a loan deal and Chelsea are looking to sell him.

Disasi has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge for some time. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa and has not featured for Chelsea for more than a year.

The Blues play West Ham on Saturday and head coach Liam Rosenior was asked about Disasi’s future at his pre-match news conference on Friday afternoon.

“He’s been very, very good in training,” said Rosenior.

“I think every player wants the opportunity to play football – that’s why they do it.

“So if anything comes up for Axel that’s interesting for him and his career then we’ll look at it.”

Asked if a move for Disasi seemed close, Rosenior said: “Not at the moment.”
