Injured Brentford duo to undergo scans
Mikkel Damsgaard and Kristoffer Ajer will both have scans to determine the extent of injuries they suffered during Brentford’s 2-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest.
Both Bees players were taken off at the same time during the first half after their injuries happened in quick succession.
“Kristoffer is an ankle injury and Dams is a knee injury,” explained head coach Keith Andrews.
“We’ll see over the next day or two once we’ve calmed things down. They’ll have scans and hopefully we can get some positive news on that front.
“Dams was playing well in the game. He was looking back to his brilliant best, playing between the lines and looking to create.
“It’s the best part of his game, when he’s on that type of form, finding areas where he can be effective.”
Goals from Igor Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi consigned Brentford to only their second home loss of the season.
“Really frustrating. They had two shots on target and scored,” said Andrews.
“We can’t be content with a good performance. We have to be ruthless. We need to evolve as a team and solve those problems.”
