Chelsea’s Essugo sidelined by another injury
Chelsea midfielder Dario Essugo will be sidelined for at least another month or so.
The Portuguese 20-year-old has been hampered by injury problems since being signed from Sporting Lisbon last summer.
He has made three appearances for the Blues, all as a substitute, and has not featured at all in the Premier League.
And now Essugo will be out for at least another few weeks after picking up a new injury in training.
Head coach Liam Rosenior explained: “Dario picked up a really unfortunate injury.
“He slipped in training and he’s going to be out for a while, over a month, which is a real shame because he’s an outstanding player as well that I was really looking forward to working with.”
Meanwhile, Rosenior dismissed speculation about Cole Palmer’s future, insisting the England star is happy at Chelsea.
