Brentford through after win at Wednesday
Brentford 2Lewis-Potter (27′)
Jensen (pen, 64′)
Goals from Keane Lewis-Potter and Mathias Jensen took Brentford through to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Lewis-Potter’s first-half opener set the Bees on their way and Jensen’s penalty midway through the second half doubled the lead.
Brentford hit the woodwork twice – Reiss Nelson’s shot and Lewis-Potter’s header hit the bar – before they went ahead.
Jensen sent in a free-kick from the left and it travelled all the way to Lewis-Potter, who poked in at the far post.
And there was no way back for Championship strugglers Wednesday once Jensen netted from the spot after Cole McGhee had fouled Romelle Donovan.
