Chelsea maintain perfect WSL start by thrashing West Ham

Chelsea emphatically maintained their 100% start to the Women’s Super League season with a thumping 4-0 win at West Ham.

Three of the defending champions’ goals came in a seven-minute spell during the opening quarter of an hour, with Aggie Beever-Jones, Joanna Rytting Kaneryd and Erin Cuthbert scoring.

The home side were reduced to 10 players in the 23rd minute, when Ines Belloumou was sent off.

And Wieke Kaptein (pictured) netted midway through the second half capped off another fine win for the Blues, who are top of the table with maximum points after four matches.
