Stephan happy with point after QPR’s draw at Wednesday
Julien Stephan was happy with a point after QPR extended their unbeaten run to four matches by drawing 1-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.
Rangers, who had won their previous three games, went behind at Hillsborough but struck back with Nicolas Madsen’s penalty early in the second half.
“Except the first five minutes, the first half was not good enough from us,” said the R’s head coach.
“We started the second half very well, had good energy and I enjoyed the first 20 to 25 minutes of the second half.
“Then after that it was just a question of surviving – and it was important to see that we are able to compete as well in this kind of situation.
“It’s a point and in the end we have to be happy with this point because, credit to Sheffield Wednesday, they played very well.
“We had chances to score the second goal. But OK, it’s a draw, a good point, and 10 points in from the last 12. So it’s a good average.”
Rangers are at home to Oxford United on Wednesday evening.
