Lampard offered £10m deal to stay – Mirror

Stories in Saturday’s newspapers involving Chelsea….

Derby have made Frank Lampard a huge financial offer in an attempt to keep him at Pride Park, the Daily Mirror say.

Chelsea legend Lampard has been widely tipped to leave his job as Derby manager and take over as Blues boss following Maurizio Sarri’s recent departure for Juventus.

The Mirror declare that the Championship club “have launched a last-ditch attempt” to keep Lampard, who led them to last season’s Championship play-off final.

The newspaper say Rams owner Mel Morris is offering him a four-year contract worth £10m.

Meanwhile, The Sun have picked up reports in Willian’s native Brazil that he has been offered £230,000 a week, a flat and two cars with drivers to leave Chelsea for Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua this summer.

And the Daily Star say Chelsea will not make a decision on the future of Kurt Zouma until a new manager is in place at Stamford Bridge.

The defender spent last season on loan at Everton, who are keen to sign him on a permanent deal.

There has been speculation that Chelsea might refuse to sell him because of the prospect of a transfer ban hanging over the club.
