Real believe Hazard deal is in place, Sun say
Stories in Wednessday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…
There are more reports of a deal for Eden Hazard to join Real Madrid from Chelsea.
Reports in Spain continue to suggest that Hazard will make the move after Chelsea’s Europa League final clash with Arsenal.
And The Sun say Real believe they have agreed a £115m deal to sign the Belgian.
The agreement would reportedly involve an initial £100m payment followed by a possible £15m in add-ons.
It comes after Real president Florentino Perez confirmed that his club are pursuing Hazard and believe they are on course to sign him.
There also continues to be speculation over the future of Maurizio Sarri, who is being linked with the manager’s job at Juventus.
A number of newspapers report the Blues head coach storming off towards the end of Chelsea’s training session on the eve of the final in Baku.
The Daily Mail say Chelsea could install Frank Lampard as Sarri’s replacement this summer.
Blues legend Lampard, whose Derby side recently lost in the Championship play-off final, is said to have been earmarked by Chelsea as a future manager at Stamford Bridge.
The club are said to be considering appointing Lampard sooner than anticipated in light of Sarri’s possible departure.
The Mail say former France and Paris St-Germain boss Laurent Blanc could also come into contention.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star continue to link former Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho with a possible move to Chelsea.
The Star say Coutinho has asked to leave Barcelona and could be heading back to the Premier League.
