Times say Chelsea have offered Kante new deal
Some of the stories in Tuesday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…
Chelsea have offered N’Golo Kante a new contract worth nearly £290,000 a week, according to The Times.
The newspaper reports that Chelsea have moved to cement Kante’s future at Stamford Bridge and that the new contract would see him overtake Eden Hazard as the club’s top earner.
It comes as Kante, who won the World Cup with France this summer, continues to be linked with a move to Paris St-Germain.
The Times say Chelsea have no intention of selling him and want him to sign a five-year deal.

The Times also say Olivier Giroud could be on his way out of Chelsea just six months after his arrival from Arsenal.
Atletico Madrid recently made an enquiry about the France striker after reports new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri was ready to sell him.
Marseille are said to also be interested in Giroud, who became a key player for Chelsea during the second half of last season.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror say West Ham want Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
And the Daily Star continue to tout Robert Lewandowski for a move to the Bridge.
Claiming an exclusive, the Star declare that Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski is Sarri’s top transfer target.
