Round-up: Morata signs and two more loan deals are confirmed
Chelsea have completed the club record £60m signing of striker Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
The Spain international, 24, has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s previous transfer record was the £50m they paid to Liverpool for Fernando Torres in January 2011.
“Alvaro has proven class at the highest level and his quality will be a huge asset,” said Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo.
Zouma signs deal and joins Stoke

Kurt Zouma has signed a new six-year contract at Chelsea and joined Stoke on a season-long loan.
Several other clubs, including West Brom, expressed an interest in the 22-year-old defender.
Emenalo told Chelsea’s website: “It is fantastic Kurt has chosen to commit his future to Chelsea. He has shown his talent since joining us three years ago, and has returned from a serious injury with a fantastic attitude.
“Now he has the opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League and we will be monitoring his progress closely while he is at Stoke.”
Dasilva to Charlton confirmed
Chelsea youngster Jay Dasilva has signed a new four-year contract with the Blues and has rejoined Charlton on a season-long loan.
Dasilva, 19, ended last season on loan with the League One side and Chelsea are keen for him to pick up more first-team experience.
Bees signing agreed
Danish forward Emiliano Marcondes has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Brentford on a free transfer in January.
Marcondes’ deal at FC Nordsjaelland expires on 31 December and the 22-year-old will move to Griffin Park subject to international clearance.
Brentford will consider making an offer to Nordsjaelland to bring Marcondes in during the current transfer window should one of their forwards leave before the deadline.
Marcondes, who has scored 17 Superliga goals in 94 appearances for Nordsjaelland, is a Denmark Under-21 international who plays predominantly in the number 10 role but can also play on either wing.
New Edun contract
Fulham youngster Tayo Edun has signed a new three-year contract.
The versatile 19-year-old started every game of England’s recent Under-19 European Championship-winning campaign.
Sylla and Hall miss Germany trip

Idrissa Sylla has been left out of QPR’s squad for their pre-season trip to Germany because an issue with his work permit means he cannot travel.
Rangers say Sylla’s previous permit expired within three months of their travel date and that, while he does have a new work permit in place, the recent expiry of his replaced permit means he cannot travel.
As expected, Luke Freeman, Jordan Cousins and Sean Goss, who all missed Saturday’s friendly at Peterborough, are in the squad.
But Grant Hall, who missed Peterborough game because of tendonitis and hoped to return, has not been included.
Manager Ian Holloway considered leaving Massimo Luongo, Pawel Wszolek and Yeni Ngbakoto in London because their international commitments mean they have had a shorter summer break, but all three have travelled.
So too has teenage American centre-back Giles Phillips, who recently joined the club and featured at Peterborough.
Rangers will play FC Union Berlin on Saturday and Lokomotive Leipzig on Sunday.
Holloway clarifies ‘bomb’ remark

Ian Holloway has clarified his recent comment that “the bomb has gone off” at QPR.
As West London Sport reported earlier this week, the Rangers manager made the remark during an interview with BBC Radio London, referring to financial restrictions resulting from the club’s previous spending.
His comments were reported differently elsewhere and portrayed as a possible reference to the club’s ongoing legal wrangling over a Financial Fair Play fine, leading many to conclude that a decision had been made and it was bad news for QPR.
Holloway told QPR’s website: “I said the bomb has already gone off, in reference to the money that has been spent in the last few years by the club.
“The club have spent an astronomical amount of money but we didn’t have great success in return for that incredible outlay. THAT was the bomb.
“I knew that before I came here. This isn’t new, this isn’t about now. That bomb went off a couple of years ago!
“I am here to tidy things up, and help my owners get value for money from everyone we’ve got, and whoever we might get.”
