Newcastle v QPR line-ups: Rangers changes, new signings on bench, Magpies star out
New signings Sean Goss and Luke Freeman are among the QPR substitutes at St James’ Park, where Jamie Mackie, Ryan Manning, Conor Washington and former Newcastle man James Perch are restored to the starting line-up.
Rangers are without Grant Hall – replaced by Perch in midfield – and Idrissa Sylla, who both picked up injuries at the weekend, but Jordan Cousins is back in the squad after a thigh problem and is on the bench.
Deadline-day signings Matt Smith and Ravel Morrison will be eligible to play in Saturday’s game against Blackburn.
Newcastle are without the Championship’s top scorer, Dwight Gayle, who has a hamstring problem.
